This is for the spiritually aware and those who consider life having more meaning than the daily struggle for bread and butter matters. Let me share something that struck me greatly today, and for which I have been in deep meditation for some time now. I have often wondered when in my walk with God I am going to have a face to face encounter, or a divine visitation as some may put it. I secretly long for the time when I will be awakened at night by a tap and bright lights fill my room, and a huge figure standing at the corner smiling at me and saying (with a scary deep voice) “Hey Reg! I want to talk with you”. It can happen. It hasn’t happened yet, but I am still waiting.
I was in Church on the Christmas morning of 1998 and the Pastor in church read from John 12:26, which read “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” The Pastor titled his message “Where is He?” It remained one of the most impactful messages in my life. I prayed a very sincere prayer that day in church and remained very conscious of God as the day progressed. What followed was drama for the remaining part of the day.
